ANSWER: IUI gender selection requires some type of sperm sorting, which have varying rates of success. The most accurate method of sperm sorting that can be used with IUI is called MicroSort. MicroSort has above 80% accuracy for selecting for one gender over another. However, MicroSort is currently not available in the United States for family-balancing purposes, as the technique is awaiting FDA approval for clinical use.
